Never a disappointment with this place, great food, great service and great atmosphere ���������

We visited the old yard tapas bar as a large group of 15. The food was excellent with a wide variety of Spanish and Greek tapas menus. What was really good was the 6 or more group menu which came out with over 10 (the beer was flowing so I cannot remember the exact amount) well sized dishes. The service was brilliant and what was nice was that they catered for individual needs, the pizza was available as an online pre order but not on the in-house menu and yet they still made it. It was a great night for all of us and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We have drank there many times but last night was the first time we had eaten and we weren't disappointed fantastic FOOD will be going again

Excellent Tapas. Excellent service.

Amazing spot for absolutely class food. The selection of dishes is just enough from both Greek and Spanish origin. The (imported) cheese board is great for £8.99 and the meat dishes you can get are very well prepared, seasoned and presented. Stifado is one of my favourites along with Pollo y Chorizo a la Espanola with a nice creamy sauce (both around £5). The atmosphere is great, even on busy nights the vibe inside the joint is cool. A mix of locals, regulars and people from further afield complete the mix for a very inviting time. The staff are on point, they keep you looked after and are super-nice. The beer and wine selection on offer is also good. I've been here quite a few times over a thirteen year period and it still exudes the charm that I initially experienced first off. Can't wait to visit again. Next time I'll get some nice photos too.

Went in here for a family meal Oct 1st. Was really impressed with the range of food available. Absolutely lovely.. Well presented, authentic.

Friendly staff and fantastic food never disappoints ?

Last Sunday me and my friend were in this restaurant and having red wine that was too good and the whole staff of The Old Yard Tapas Bar were so polite.. I'll come back soon!!!!!!!

Lovely food and friendly staff. Why a time limit? Why a rush to order, eat and leave? We were given an hour and a half to eat up, sup up and ship out. Before it came close to our time, we asked for the dessert menu, twice. Second time we (politely) commented we had to be out soon. The same with the bill. Why the rush? Upstairs only had us and one table of people when we left! Can't blame the staff, they just did as they had been told.

This was a Google find after spending time in the north east. Highly recommended. Great service and great food ! If your ever near Darlington city centre and fancy something fresh and authentic give this place a visit. Has a split menu, half tapas style dishes and half meze style. Luckily on my visit they had a special offer of 3 dishes for £10 off a slightly smaller version of the main a la carte. Again highly recommend this place. I will be visiting again very soon

Lovely selection of freshly cooked Spanish tapas and also some Greek dishes. Well kept Real Ale on tap and good choice of wines. Good atmosphere with friendly staff.

Lovely food and very friendly

My partner and I were passing through Darlington last night on our way home to Scotland and decided to stop here for a meal. We arrived wearing tracksuit bottoms etc and were told on arrival that there was a dress code which meant no tracksuits allowed. We were given a table, however.

We ordered our food and didn't have to wait too long for it to arrive. Everything was lovely until I found a long hair in my Tzatziki. I pushed it aside and continued with everything else. At the end of the meal I pointed out the hair and was relieved to have the item removed from the bill and a very embarrassed waitress couldn't apologise enough.

I would definitely come here again if I'm passing through Darlington in the future as it was genuinely a nice place to eat.
